Special to The Truth
It’s time for you and your children and you and your
grandchildren to sign up NOW for the Toledo-Lucas County
Public Library’s annual
Summer Reading Club
(SRC)! This year’s theme,
“Dream Big READ!”encourages
everyone from infants to adults to expand their horizons
with big thoughts, big words, but most of all BIG dreams
through reading!
SRC’s “Dream Big READ!” kicked off this week, and runs NOW
through August 4.
We have reading clubs for all ages!
You must first register for SRC by either stopping in any
neighborhood Library location, or aboard the bookmobile to
pick up and fill out an SRC entry form, or register online
at
src.toledolibrary.org on the Summer Reading Club
page. It's all FREE!
Everyone can participate, here are the age categories for
SRC:
• READ TO ME (Infant to three years): Read to your baby
every day, complete an activity page and earn a prize for
baby and for you!
• KIDS (Preschool to fifth Grade): Track the time you spend
reading and visit your library for a reading folder. Read at
least 15 minutes a day.
• TEENS (sixth to 12th Grade)
• ADULTS (18 years and older)
Read a book and enter! The more you read, the better your
chances of winning some fantastic prizes for all age
categories!
Kids and Teens can show your SRC ‘hang tag’ and catch a ride
to the Library on TARTA for FREE this summer! Just show the
TARTA driver your SRC ‘hang tag’ . . .
